Family run farm OPG Anton Škunca deals with ecological production and processing of medicinal and aromatic herbs. The distinctive features of the island of Pag, such as the preserved plant community, unpolluted air and environment, product quality and our wish to cultivate the tradition of preserving and producing native plants have motivated us to introduce these distinctive features of the island of Pag to the whole of Europe and the world. Family run farm OPG Anton Škunca was founded in 2013 in the town of Novalja on family-owned agricultural land. There are currently about 7 hectares of arable land intended for agricultural production. The land is planted with 960 fig trees, 280 olive trees, 230 late bloom almond tree varieties and immortelle plant (Helichrysum italicum).

ABOUT IMMORTELLE
In the late spring, on the dry, rocky soil which tolerates drought and heat well, millions of small sun-coloured and sun-shaped flowers bloom under the warm sun. The scent and healing ability of the yellow flowers of Helichrysum italicum attracted the attention of our ancestors and motivated them to use and study the plant. Immortelle is called the ‘immortal’ plant for a reason. The etymological name of the genus, Helichrysum, comes from the Greek words Helios (Sun) and chrysos (gold), which are associated with the colour of the flowers. The English name ‘everlasting’, and the French name ‘immortelle’, mean immortal, eternal, because the flowers retain their yellow colour and scent even when they dry.
Immortelle (Helichrysum italicum) is a perennial, aromatic, semi-shrubby herb of the composite family (Asteraceae). It can grow up to 50-70 cm in height and its branched stems bear small, light-green hairy leaves and golden-yellow head-shaped inflorescence composed of several small flowers. Other names for the plant include curry plant and Italian strawflower, and Croatian folk names of the plant include: cmilje, marjetica, smilj, žuto smilje, kadila (Pag), brusila (Krk), magriž (Rab), uskolisni smilj and bela brada.

FACIAL SKIN CARE:
Immortelle cream ‘Mara Immortelle’ – Medicated cream made from natural ingredients, ideal for problematic and tired skin. The cream contains quality ecological preparations that restore the skin. The cream should be applied to the parts of the skin affected by acne and inflammatory processes, the under-eye area, wrinkles, scars, broken capillaries, stretch marks. BODY CARE:
Immortelle essential oil – Immortelle essential oil has a broad span of medicinal effects, with proven antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and antiviral effect. It protects from and helps with bacterial infections and inflammations.
Due to its unique composition and antioxidant activity, immortelle prevents and slows down cell damage, significantly reducing the risk of cancer and other tumours.
Immortelle has a strong regenerative effect (restoring damaged or old tissue), which means that it is used to smooth out wrinkles and stretch marks, as well as to restore skin after surgery and heal new and old scars. Athletes use it for its anti-inflammatory effect; since it relieves cramps and muscle aches after exertion. It prevents haematoma formation, stimulates the immune system and has anticoagulant, anti-allergic, antidepressant, sedative, expectorant and antiseptic effect. Immortelle essential oil can be used directly (a couple of drops) on the skin alterations, such as bruises, or it can be added to a base cream or oil (a couple of drops) and used as a face or body care product.

Immortelle macerate – Immortelle flower oily extract from almond/sunflower oil. It is used for treating scars, wrinkles, burns and damaged skin. It reduces redness and irritation, as well as regenerates and nourishes the skin. It is safe to use during pregnancy for treating stretch marks and for skin care.
It can be used as a standalone preparation or as an oily component in creams, ointments and lotions, especially for mature skin care.

Immortelle hydrolate – Immortelle floral water is used for oral hygiene (oral use),
it is good for liver cleansing and is taken orally as a part of regular body detoxification therapy, allergy treatment or after illness. It is ideal for the treatment of sensitive and tired skin, and it regenerates the skin and enhances its microcirculation. It helps the scar tissue healing process and reduces under-eye circles. Immortelle hydrolate has an anti-inflammatory effect, it enhances the absorption of haematoma, promotes healing of wounds and scars, and reduces swelling.

Mastic tree hydrolate (Pistacia lentiscus water) – It stimulates the healing of wounds and other skin damage, and relieves the feeling of heavy, swollen legs and veins. It stimulates blood and lymph flow (in case of lymphatic congestion) and helps ‘melt’ cellulite and vitalize your skin and hair. It is applied directly by spraying on clean skin, sensitive scalp (spray and gently massage into scalp, do not rinse) and legs (spray the vein and capillary area).

Rosemary/bay leaf salt – Salt with rosemary/bay leaf aroma is used as a Mediterranean condiment. It can be used as a condiment to any dish, and it goes best with fish, lamb, veal and chicken.

Golden oil – Apply the golden oil rich in immortelle, carrot and achiote (beta carotene) extract to your skin to nourish and refresh it, make it healthy and soft, and give it a healthy glow.

Circulation and haemorrhoid cream ‘NiRa’ – Cream that stimulates the circulation in dead tissue. It is used for problems with veins, capillaries and haemorrhoids.

Capillary cream – Enlarged capillaries are the mildest degree of leg vein disease (hormonal changes in puberty or menopause). Capillary rupture occurs during pregnancy due to increased blood flow and increased burden on the whole body. Some of the reasons for capillary rupture: obesity, blows to the skin, age, genetics, sitting. The capillary cream contains anti-inflammatory ingredients and ingredients which relieve fatigue in legs, and it improves peripheral microcirculation of the legs. Due to its deep effect it can remove capillaries from the skin surface and prevent new ones from emerging. The cream is intended for morning and evening application by gently massaging it into your skin in the bottom-up manner. Changes are noticeable after the second week of use

Sports oil – 100% natural oil for sports massage, ideal for relieving tension from sore joints and muscles. It is easily absorbed, it stimulates circulation, and relieves tension and pain in muscles and joints. Ideal for tendons and ligaments exposed to considerable strain in a particular sport. It is recommended for treating injuries, sprains, haematoma, bruises and varicose veins, and for massage. Immortelle essential oil has anticoagulant properties and enhances haematoma absorption. If the oil is applied immediately after a hit, it is likely that no haematoma will appear

CHASTE TREE/CHASTEBERRY (Vitex agnus-castus) TINCTURE

According to historical records, chasteberry is a very old plant, which survived the Ice Age. Since ancient times, chase tree has been known as a drug with hormonal effect. Chase tree preparations have an effect on the pituitary gland, they prevent the release of follicle-stimulating hormone and promote the production of LH and prolactin. Following pharmacological and clinical studies, chaste tree preparations are now used: to alleviate menstrual discomfort caused by corpus luteum insufficiency, for mastopathy, breast cysts, menopause-related discomfort, reduced lactation in the first ten days after birth, to normalize the cycle after stopping the use of birth control pills, for PMS, endometriosis, myoma and infertility, and for the treatment of hormonal acne. It also helps elderly women with hair loss, who lose hair due to low levels of thyroid hormone (hypothyroidism). Required daily dose is 20 drops 2x a day.
THERAPY – For treating infertility, high prolactin, absence of corpus luteum; to help with conception, polycystic ovaries → it is necessary to take 40 drops of tincture with water for 4-6 months.
Stop taking the therapy in case of pregnancy.
DO NOT USE THE TINCTURE – During pregnancy, while breastfeeding, during in vitro fertilization, if diagnosed with high oestrogen levels (sensitive breast tumour).
SIDE EFFECTS – Very rare; stomach irritation, headache, rash with itching, heavy menstrual bleeding. In case you notice any side effects, stop using the tincture!
