Our family tradition of making Pag cheese dates back to 1887, and we have been using the same original recipe ever since. This includes using the same indigenous sheep breed, type of animal feed, cheese-making process, and proper cheese ageing method. Each of our cheese wheels is imprinted with the number II-94 as a nod to tradition – the number was given to us in 1887 by none other than Franz Joseph I, Emperor of Austria-Hungary, to use as a family designation, which we still display proudly on all our products.

The island of Pag is known for its thousand-year-old olive trees, which we take great pride in. They have endured many harsh winters and strong bora winds and still produce high-quality virgin olive oil.

The Vidas family farm produces Pag cheese from unpasteurised sheep’s milk using an old family recipe. The Vidas family olive oil is made from hand-picked olives. The entire process from picking to processing the olives takes no more than 48 hours.  The olives are processed in an oil mill using the cold pressing method. By combining the two products, we created Pag cheese in olive oil, a premium delicacy that will delight even the most discerning palates.
